Terms & Conditions

1. About These Terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of the TonOfBricks subscription service and website at tonofbricks.co.uk. By subscribing to TonOfBricks or using our website, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before subscribing.
TonOfBricks is operated by Stuart Bye, based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@tonofbricks.co.uk.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to subscribe to TonOfBricks. By subscribing, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. The Service
TonOfBricks is a LEGO set rental subscription service. For a monthly subscription fee, members can rent one LEGO set at a time from our catalogue, build it at their own pace, and return it when they are done. Members may rent up to two sets per calendar month.
Access to higher-value sets is unlocked progressively based on membership duration and rental history, as described in our tier system on the website. For our highest-value Master tier sets, we may require identity verification before access is granted.
4. Subscription and Payment
Your subscription begins on the date your first payment is processed. Subscriptions are charged monthly in advance to the payment method you provide via Stripe.
Your subscription will automatically renew each month unless you cancel it. You may cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will not be charged again after cancellation, but no refund is given for any unused portion of the current month.
If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to collect payment again. We reserve the right to suspend your account if payment cannot be collected.
If you have prepaid months via our Skip the Queue feature, those months are non-refundable. You will continue to have access to the service until your prepaid period ends.
You may not cancel your subscription while you have an outstanding payment for missing or damaged pieces. Any such amounts must be settled before cancellation can be processed.
5. Delivery and Collection
Sets are delivered to your chosen InPost locker or shop. Postage costs are charged per rental and vary by set size — the exact cost is shown before you confirm each rental.
If you live within our local delivery zone (currently within 10 miles of Basingstoke, Hampshire), we may deliver and collect sets directly to and from your door free of charge. Local delivery is subject to availability and is offered at our discretion.
Delivery timescales are estimates only. We are not liable for delays caused by InPost or other third-party delivery providers.
If you are not available to receive a local delivery at the agreed time, we will endeavour to rearrange at no charge. However, if missed deliveries become a recurring issue, we reserve the right to charge a small fee to cover our costs before rearranging future deliveries.
6. Ownership of Sets
All LEGO sets remain the property of TonOfBricks at all times. Renting a set does not transfer any ownership rights to you. You are a temporary custodian of the set for the duration of your rental.
7. Your Responsibilities
When you rent a set, you agree to:
- Take reasonable care of the set while it is in your possession
- Keep all pieces together and not mix them with pieces from other sets
- Return the set securely packed in the box it arrived in
- Not attempt to sell, transfer, or permanently keep any set or piece
- Notify us promptly if any pieces are missing or damaged, using the Report Missing Pieces feature in your account
- Return the set within a reasonable timeframe — we ask that sets are not kept indefinitely without contact
8. Missing and Damaged Pieces
We understand that occasional pieces may go missing during normal use. If you notice a missing piece, please report it using the Report Missing Pieces feature on your account page as soon as possible.
When a set is returned, we carry out a condition check. If we find that pieces are missing or damaged beyond fair wear and tear, we reserve the right to charge you for the cost of replacing those pieces. Replacement costs are calculated at the price of sourcing pieces from a trusted supplier such as Bricklink, plus postage. We will always contact you before making any charge and will aim to source replacements at the lowest reasonable cost.
Repeated returns with missing or damaged pieces may result in suspension or termination of your account.
9. Unreturned Sets
If you cancel your subscription, all sets currently in your possession must be returned within 30 days of your subscription end date. We will send you return instructions when your subscription ends.
If a set is not returned within 30 days of your subscription ending, we reserve the right to:
- Charge you the full retail replacement value of the unreturned set
- Continue charging your payment method until the set is returned or the replacement value is paid
- Pursue recovery through legal action if necessary
All LEGO sets remain our property at all times. Failure to return a set may constitute theft by conversion under the Theft Act 1968. We will always attempt to resolve the matter amicably before taking legal action.
10. Identity Verification
For access to our highest-value Master tier sets, we may require you to complete an identity verification check. This is carried out using Stripe Identity and requires a valid government-issued photo ID such as a passport or driving licence.
We reserve the right to decline access to Master tier sets if identity verification cannot be completed or if we have concerns about account activity.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Breach these terms and conditions
- Fail to return a set within a reasonable time
- Repeatedly return sets with missing or damaged pieces
- Fail to make payment
- Provide false or misleading information
If we terminate your account, any sets in your possession must be returned immediately. We will refund any unused prepaid subscription months at our discretion.
12. Our Liability
We are not liable for:
- Any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our service
- Delays or failures caused by third-party services including InPost, Stripe or Supabase
- Loss or damage to your property caused by a LEGO set
- Any loss arising from your failure to follow building instructions
Our total liability to you in connection with these terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Intellectual Property

Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy at tonofbricks.co.uk/privacy to understand how we collect, use and protect your personal data.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
